Conceptual Design for Sodium Carbonate unit (Soda Ash), Chabahar - Iran

The objective of this project is to conduct conceptual studies as a continuation of the feasibility project for the production of soda ash using an innovative method from carbon dioxide feedstock from the flue gas of a combined cycle power plant, salt from the brine water returned to the sea from a desalination unit, and also imported ammonia. In the conceptual studies, the following matters will be pursued: identifying technology owners, technical cooperation with the Makran power plant to receive flue gas near the soda ash unit, technical cooperation with the manufacturer of the Makran desalination unit to obtain brine water returned to the sea from a 25-kilometer route, examining available ammonia supply sources for transfer to the unit, reviewing and analyzing technical proposals received from technology companies, consulting on drafting the license purchase agreement, finalizing the utility list, conducting conceptual design of utility and off-site units, preparing the initial plot plan, updating previous feasibility studies, and preparing an organizational chart along with several field studies in the region
